Yoodong’s background includes 9 months of supply chain planning, logistics, and procurement experience in aircraft manufacturing, retail, and technology. After freshman year, he spent 3 months with General Electric Aviation in Cincinnati, OH creating a process through Excel to identify $4 million worth of new GENX hardware that could be sold from the Development Material Planning team to the Production team. This process allowed the company to see where development costs could be reduced, and production’s supply chain team could be easily supported. As a sophomore, Yoodong completed a rotation for Meijer in Grand Rapids, MI in their Global Logistics team in the General Merchandise division. He was responsible for working with vendors, service providers, merchants and the distribution facilities to make sure product ships/delivers on time. He outlined the current Less Than Truckload process to identify opportunities where on-time delivery could be improved by 5-8%. After junior year, Yoodong worked as a client-facing consultant for IBM. During his time at IBM, he utilized Watson Analytics to present 2017 spend data to the client’s Chief Procurement Officer and delivered analytical insights on a client account.
