Hailey’s background includes three months of logistical experience in the health care industry for Stryker’s global medical and instrument division. Within this time, she assisted on increasing warehouse utilization and safety through a wire racking system, recognized a gap in the business model regarding obsolete products, decreasing inventory carrying cost by $1.1MM, and also recommended a solution to improve the international order drop process from ERP systems, leading to a savings of 1,300 internal manual labor hours and a reduced lead time by up to one year. Hailey also has experience in the automotive industry with Iroquois Assembly Systems in Warren, Michigan. She spent four months maintaining inventory levels of $2MM and forecasted 12-month part quantities estimated at $6MM. She also increased employee recognition and plant effectiveness by 70% through an implemented reward system with the collaboration of the human resource department. This past summer, Hailey interned with Ford Motor Company in their North American Material Logistics Department. After three months, she created an external tracking mechanism for network cost changes, decreased 95% of manual work hours with a semi-automated template for rail schedules, and analyzed historical intermodal transit data, leading to a $2MM reduction in rack fleet.
