About Manasvi​
Manasvi Jain is an incoming freshman at Michigan State University Eli Broad of College. She currently is business preference and hopes to major in finance one day.
She is involved in the Honors College and is part of the Residential Business Community. This summer, she was an active participant of the Multicultural Business Community’s summer business institute where she networked with corporate representatives from Fortune 500 companies including General Motors, Dow Chemical, EY, etc.
In high school, she was her school’s prefect and represented the student’s needs in front of the student council and the management.
During her time at MSU, she hopes to be involved in the Financial Markets Institute that would allow her to study with like-minded individuals in Finance.
What does this scholarship mean to Manasvi?
Education has always been important to me and being able to educate myself in the US was my biggest dream. When I got accepted to MSU, I was delighted- I had managed to get into the Honors College and RBC and had also gotten a good scholarship. However, the second wave of Covid-19 in India changed everything. I could see my biggest dream vanishing in front of my eyes. I lost faith in myself and my dream. Getting the SCG scholarship flipped everything in my favor. Hence, this scholarship is more than just money for me. It gave me a second chance to grow closer to my dream and helped me build faith in myself. I am eternally grateful to SCG team for giving me a second chance to accomplish my dream.
